Terms of Service
Effective: October 17, 2026 · Provider: Auralen Holdings LLC, doing business as MapMyExam ("MapMyExam," "we") · Contact: hello@mapmyexam.com · Legal notices: legal@mapmyexam.com
1. The service
MapMyExam prepares educator-reviewed reports about exams: item analysis (Exam Health Report), pre-administration review (Exam Preview), rewritten and new items (Revision Pack), and an opt-in Integrity Screen with Leak Check. Reports are prepared from files and information you upload. Every report is reviewed by a nurse educator before delivery.
2. Accounts
You must be 18 or older and use the service for educational assessment. Keep your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Institutions may open accounts for their faculty under a Program agreement.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload: exam exports, item text, objectives, course materials. You grant us a limited license to process it to provide the service to you and for no other purpose. You confirm that you have the right to upload it and that it contains no student identifiers (our upload tool removes them; see the Privacy Policy).
4. Our content: reports and generated items
Reports we prepare for you are licensed to you and your course for internal educational use. You may share a report within your department or with accreditors. You may not resell it or publish it.
Generated items (Revision Pack rewrites and new items, Exam Preview rewrites) are written once, for your course, and never issued to anyone else. Auralen Holdings LLC retains the copyright in generated items. You receive a perpetual, exclusive license to use them in examinations for the purchasing course and its successors at your institution. You may not sell, publish, post, share outside your institution, or add them to any shared or commercial test bank. Because we hold the copyright, we can and do issue takedown notices when our items appear on study-sharing or test-bank sites; you agree we may do so on your behalf without further consent. Our copy of generated items is deleted 90 days after delivery; keeping your own copy secure is your responsibility.
Our methods — rules, thresholds, diagnosis text, prompts, templates and the structure of the reports — are our trade secrets. You may not reverse-engineer, scrape, or use the service to build a competing product.
5. Integrity Screen
The Integrity Screen flags statistical patterns for your review. It does not determine that any person acted improperly and must not be the sole basis for an academic-integrity finding. You are responsible for applying your institution’s policies. We never report findings to anyone but you.
6. Purchases, turnaround and refunds
Prices are shown at checkout and processed by Stripe. Individual and program tracks are separate products with different inclusions, as listed on the pricing page. Turnaround is guaranteed within 48 hours (Mon-Fri), often sooner, from a complete and paid upload unless Priority is purchased; capacity is limited and shown on the site, and we may pause new orders when it is reached. If we deliver after the guaranteed time, we automatically refund 25% of that order.
Because each report involves individual educator review, refunds are available only if we have not yet begun review, or if we fail to deliver. If a report contains an error of fact or analysis, tell us within 14 days and we will correct it at no charge. Course Package allowances expire at the end of the semester they were purchased for; Program agreements set their own terms.
7. What we don’t promise
Reports are professional judgment applied to the statistics you provide. We do not guarantee accreditation outcomes, licensure pass rates, grade decisions, or that any flagged item is in fact defective. Decisions about students, grades and exams are yours.
8. Acceptable use
Don’t upload data you aren’t permitted to share; don’t upload student identifiers; don’t use the service to harass or surveil any individual; don’t attempt to access other customers’ data or our analysis logic. We may suspend accounts that do.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the workspace. We may terminate for breach of these terms with notice. Sections 4, 7, 9 and 11 survive termination.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, unless both parties agree to mediation first.
12. Changes
We will post changes with a new effective date and email account holders about material changes. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
